I'm finally proud of my high school

I was surprised to read that the Wall Street Journal rated my high school, the College Preparatory School, #6 on its list of top high schools in the nation:

You know, I always hated the place when I was there, but now I'm proud of it. The teachers were excellent, despite being paid less than many public school teachers. Actually, I think that's exactly why they were so excellent, they taught at CPS for the love of their jobs, and not for money. Many of them had doctorate degrees, and my calculus professor helped rewrite the California public school math curriculum.

In retrospect, I did gain a good, though reluctant, education. I'm glad I can look back at my years there with nostalgia, and not the hate I always pictured. But the place still looks like a ski lodge:
